Dr Caroline Hong


Dr Caroline Hong is a businesswoman, entrepreneur, Chairman, CEO and company director, with over 30 years experience in the healthcare, government, NFP and business sectors. Founder and CEO of her own consulting business CH Asia Australia Pty Ltd, Caroline facilitates business, economic and cultural linkages between Australia, Asia and China.

She is the President & Chairman of China HR (Australia) and its subsidiary Asia HR (Australia), Vice Chairman of Sports Aviation Australia and Co-Founder of the Sydney School of Protocol - Asians in Australia. Caroline serves as Board Trustee of St Vincent’s Clinic Foundation, NSW SME Committee of Australia China Business Council, Honorary Adviser of Australia Malaysia Singapore Association, Advisory Board of Ethnic Business Awards, Ambassador of Migration Alliance and Ambassador of Business Events Sydney. Caroline also speaks at major events and leads business trade missions involving Asia.

Caroline holds three Australian University qualifications in health and business, and is also a Fellow and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (governance). She was former CEO for over 15 years in the healthcare and business sectors, responsible for NSW, ACT, Australia and NZ, and is an active community and business leader in the Asian community.

Caroline is fluent in English, and speaks conversational Chinese Mandarin, Hakka, Cantonese and Bahasa Malaysia. She travels frequently nationally and to Asia and China for business projects and speaking engagements.

Simon Lane

M.Comm., Post Grad Employment Law, Dip. HR, Dip OH&S

Simon Lane is the MD of China HR (Australia), and has worked for over 35 years in the field of human resource management, holding senior HR executive roles including with Commonwealth Bank, TNT, Coles Myer, AWA, Mitsubishi Electric, Australian Airlines, and the State Rail Authority of NSW. His accomplishments include large scale outsourcing and merger/acquisition work, the successful negotiation of over 60 enterprise agreements, the development of work-based Masters of Business programs, the facilitation of significant cultural and strategic management workshops, and the management of large organisational restructures. He is the author of the CCH HR Master Guide - Outsourcing HR (2002-2013) and HR Consulting (2009-13).

As Managing Director of Offsite Human Resource, he specialises in due diligence reporting, change management, executive development and executive coaching, development of on-line and web based HR solutions, and business strategy facilitation and development. Simon has created several online applications for use in HR, some of which have been trademarked and patented. He has consulted to local, State and Federal Government bodies over the last 10 years as well as organisations in USA, UK and Asia. Simon is a Director of 5 other organisations in Australia, including China HR (Australia), the UK and the USA.  

He is a member of the American Society of Training and Development, American HR Planning Society, Society for Human Resource Management (UK), Australian Institute of Training and Development, Australian Institute of Management, American Society of Human Resources, NSW Industrial Relations Institute, International Coach Federation and is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute. He is a member of the Advisory Council to the World HRD Congress.

Peter Wong


A Chartered Accountant by profession, Peter Wong is a 30-year veteran in the financial services industry. Having worked in England, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China and Australia, Peter is familiar with the different financial and business practices across Asia and Australia. He is well equipped to advise clients on international business and investment. His expertise are in providing financial, taxation and investment advice to Australian and Asian enterprises wanting to invest or do business in the Asia Pacific region. He advises clients on a wide range of services such as IPO listing, due diligence, corporate governance, business valuation, compliance and control, estate and retirement planning, international tax and migration.

Peter speaks English, Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese. He is the President of the Australian Malaysian Singaporean Association, Committee Member of the Australia China Business Council and a Member of the Haymarket Chamber of Commerce, the SME Association of Australia and the Temasek Club.

Peter graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Accounting from the University of Manchester (England) and later obtained his MBA from Henley Business School (England). Peter travels frequently to Asia and China for business projects.
